Cheryl Swarts has over twenty years experience handling.
In her spare time she show's her dog "Happy" in Confirmation and Obedience. Also enjoys doing Therapy work with her dogs with young and old.
"Happy" is a 1.5 year old yellow Labrador Retriever. He comes from Bellhaven's Kennels, "The Right Paw" Training Center in Princeton Mass. He is being trained to do Theraputic Intervention Work with Children for www.PawTheWorld.com Happy has worked already with two foster children and made a HUGE difference in their life!!
Happy enjoys wrestling with his brother Jordie and playing fetch. He already knows sit, down, come, shake, wave and sit pretty. His favorite part of the day is his dinner!
"Scout"is a 5 year old German Shepherd who has his Canine Good Citizen Certificate. He is a Therapy Dog and utilizes his skills with Foster children in a Therapeutic manner. He LOVES to fetch and swim. He has never ending energy which works well in doing Therapy work with children who show signs of ADHD or ADD. Scout was given to Cheryl at about 2.5 months old from a wonderful customers sister who became allergic. He is 85lbs and a very gentle guy. He enjoys cuddling on the couch and eating popcorn!
"Kangaroo or Roo"is a 11 year old German Shepherd who has her Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Roo was a rescue from . She is a Therapy Dog and utilizes her skills with Foster children in a Therapeutic manner. She LOVES to fetch and swim. She is a very silly girl who enjoys enticing her brothers to play with her! She is 75lbs and loves to give kisses to anyone as tall as she is. Roo is not a big cuddler but will make sure your face is clean and will fetch the ball for you!
"Jordie" is a Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever mix. He is 12 years old and LOVES every body. He is also a Therapy dog who's been working with all ages since he was a small puppy. He was also a rescue I was given from a client. He is a very special gift in my life. For all that know him and meet him you know how special he is as soon as he looks at you with those big brown cow eyes. He is so very gentle. He doesn't like to fetch or swim. Though he does like to run back and forth at the waters edge and bite at the waves while barking. What he does LOVE to do, is HUG! Jordie is the best hugger and will sit with you until forever. He just loves to be with whom ever wants to just hang out. He does like popcorn and a good movie too!!
